We a range of finishes and colours that we offer as standard clay plasters. If you have any requirements for a different type of plaster please contact us for more information.

Clay Stucco

Smooth and Polished Clay Plaster

A luxurious and mirror like finish with organic, random mottling that creates an amazing visual depth to the surface. The finish is smooth and without texture.

Alternatively, a velvety and smooth surface with slightly visible trowel movement in the finish can be achieved. The finish is not polished, is low sheen, and doesn’t have the same mottling or depth of colours.

Clay Paint

Matte Clay Paint

A velvety matte paint that creates a slightly textured finish. Using natural white or coloured clays as well as natural earth pigments a large range of colours can be created. The finish does not reflect light and is a 100% natural and healthy finish for interiors.

A range of different brushes and rollers can be used to create beautiful finishes.

Ohtsu

Smooth and Polished Japanese Clay and Lime Plaster

A smooth plaster that mixes both clay and lime based on a traditional Japanese technique and mixture. A softer, less dramatic look compared to a Clay Stucco or Lime Marble finish.

Stoneware

Medium Smooth Clay Plaster

A minimally textured surface with a modern look that suits any space and can be applied to entire rooms and houses without being overbearing. Subtle variations in texture and colour are common.

Earthenware

Textured Clay Plaster

A rustic, highly textured finish that resembles typical Mediterranean finishes or natural sandstone/limestone blocks. Large variations in texture or a uniform rough finish are possible.

Straw Clay Plaster

Clay Plaster Reinforced with Straw/Hemp Fibre

A fermented clay plaster with straw fibre and/or hemp hurd as reinforcing. The straw in the clay rich plaster ferments over 2-3 months and the fibres break down and completely mix into the plaster. The result is a beautifully sticky plaster that is easy to work with when covering strawbale walls, hempcrete, cob, adobe, rammed earth or as a thick basecoat over reed mats.

This is the only plaster we currently supply as a bulk product for people who want to do their own plastering but don’t have a good supply of clay or are unable to mix large quantities by themselves. Contact us for details.
